Platinum Mod follows vanilla crafting patterns closely, so most recipes will feel familiar. This reference lists every recipe the mod adds, from smelting raw ore to crafting a full armor set, and explains how to look them up in-game with a recipe viewer.
Smelting Recipes
Everything starts with raw platinum or platinum ore. Both smelt into ingots.
Furnace and Blast Furnace
A furnace smelts one raw platinum into one ingot in ten seconds. A blast furnace halves that time and is worth building once you mine in bulk.

Experience From Smelting
Each ingot gives a little more experience than iron. Collect it from the furnace output slot; hoppers do not collect experience.
Storage and Material Items
These recipes help you store and split your platinum efficiently.
Platinum Block
Nine ingots in a full grid make one block of platinum. Placing the block back in the grid returns nine ingots.
Platinum Nuggets
One ingot splits into nine nuggets, and nine nuggets rebuild an ingot. Smelting platinum tools and armor also returns nuggets.
Tool Recipes
Tools use the vanilla shapes with ingots in place of iron and sticks for handles.
Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel
- Pickaxe: three ingots across the top row, two sticks down the centre
- Axe: three ingots in an L shape, two sticks
- Shovel: one ingot above two sticks
Sword and Hoe
The sword takes two ingots stacked above one stick. The hoe uses two ingots across the top and two sticks.
Armor Recipes
A full armor set costs twenty-four ingots, the same as iron.
Armor Costs
- Helmet: 5 ingots
- Chestplate: 8 ingots
- Leggings: 7 ingots
- Boots: 4 ingots
Using a Recipe Viewer
Platinum Mod registers its recipes with standard recipe viewers, so you never need to memorise them.
Quick Lookups
Hover an item and press R for its recipe or U for its uses. Searching @platinum filters the list to items from this mod. See the tools and armor guide to decide what to craft first.
